You love riding? So do we. There are some different factors when it comes to choosing the right gear for the riding you do.
First of all, what type of vehicle are you riding? Is it a competition bike, a trail bike, dual sport, enduro, utility ATV, sport or race ATV, utility side by side, or sport side by side?
How often are you riding? Are you the weekend warrior, occasional enthusiast, the dedicated enthusiast or competition rider?
I personally run a dual sport Yamaha. I love riding my bike (as do most) but usually can only get out maybe 3 times a week for about and hour or two at a time.
I know this seems like a lot of questions for what should seemingly be a straight forward decision, but hear me out.
You have to understand your needs, wants and expectation out of your gear. Riding can get quite warm with the engine so close to you. You would be surprised how much heat can be produced by your vehicle and how much your body temperature can increase by riding.
One would think it would be the opposite. I say nay-nay.
This is why you will notice a lot of motocross jerseys are mesh woven and or perforated, super light weight and breathable.
Fox has a good variety of breathable industry standard motocross jerseys with great graphics and minimal weight.
They have freshly redeveloped their ground breaking FlexAir line and introduced their 2019 Airline Line up, in which both lines break the standards for weight and breathability. This is perfect for the summer enthusiasts that are out maximizing the weather and daylight. Both the FlexAir and Airline are designed for maximizing airflow throughout the rider.
Fox has done a great job at understanding the demands and needs of riders, and keep upping the ante every year with all of their lines. Whether its the entry level 180 Line, the 360 Line, the AirLine, the FlexAir Lineup or the Legion Line, Fox keeps current with riders needs and requirements all whilst staying fashionable.
If you are an Enduro enthusiast, you will be looking at Fox's Legion Line up. The Legion lineup is made for all weather riding, keeping the rider comfortable and dry. A new feature for the 2019 Legion jacket is removable sleeves. OK, that's a great feature, weather changes sometimes rather quickly. However, Fox has designed the removable sleeves to be easily removed with one hand, and the sleeves are connected at the back so its one piece. Ingenuity at its best.
Fox is great at this stuff, it's what they do.
For the weekend warrior and or amateur, Fox has their tried-tested-and true 180 and 360 line ups. Featuring light mesh collars, drop tails, and moisture-wicking polyester, makes the 180 jersey a top choice for riders.
The 180 pants like most of Fox's lines have the RAP system. This stands for "Rider Attack Position." The pants are formed to the most common rider position and are made with a angle. This adds less fabric tension, providing the rider great comfort. More comfort? How about 4 way stretch panels at the knees, rear yoke, and crotch for unrestricted movement on the bike.
For 2019, Fox has some stunning graphics to go with all of their collections.
All in all, gear has two primary objectives. To keep your protected, and to keep you comfortable. If your gear isn't comfortable, it's time to upgrade!
Safe Riding out there guys and girls!
